AARP Tennessee State Office Ribbon Cutting
About AARP
With an overall mission to empower people to choose how they live as they age, AARP Tennessee has a focus on fraud prevention, livable communities, and caregiving. In addition, we actively advocate at the national, state, and local level for policies that support people 50+ and their families.
We host (and co-host with partners) more than 100 activities and events all over the state. This year, our state office is focused on these key priorities:
a. Fraud Prevention: We are working across Tennessee to educate residents about common scams and schemes and equip them with the tools to protect themselves and their families from con artists.
b. Livable Communities: We are helping make communities even better places to live for people of all ages. This includes collaborating with elected officials and community leaders to support age-friendly communities, taking steps to improve affordable housing, reduce isolation and create mobility options like volunteer transportation programs.
c. Caregiving: We are specifically focused on supporting caregivers for veterans and grandparents raising grandchildren. We know these groups each have specialized needs when it comes to caregiving.
About Williamson, Inc. Ribbon Cuttings
A ribbon cutting celebrates the opening, relocation, expansion or renovation of a business. It can inaugurate an actual first day of business, or it can take place weeks or months after a soft opening — whatever best suits your needs.
Ribbon cuttings are one of the most popular services we provide. If you are interested in learning more information on hosting your own ribbon cutting, please email claudia@williamsonchamber.com.
