Are you passionate about making a difference? At My Friend’s House, we provide care and guidance for boys ages 12–18 in state custody — helping them build confidence, learn responsibility, and create a brighter future.
We’re seeking a Philanthropy Officer who brings both strategy and heart. You’ll lead fundraising initiatives, strengthen donor relationships, and help ensure every young man who comes through our doors has the support he needs to succeed.
If you’re ready to combine your professional expertise with purpose, this is your chance to make a lasting impact.

What You’ll Do
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising plan — including annual giving, grants, events, and campaigns.
  • Cultivate and steward meaningful relationships with donors, sponsors, and community partners.
  • Manage donor communications, gift tracking, and grant reporting.
  • Oversee social media, marketing, and public relations to share our story and grow awareness.
  • Plan and lead at least one major annual fundraising event (up to 500 guests).
  • Recruit and engage volunteers to support fundraising and community outreach.
  • Represent My Friend’s House at community events as an ambassador for our mission.
  • Collaborate with staff on budgeting, financial tracking, and fundraising reports.

What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in fundraising, marketing, business, communications, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated success in nonprofit fundraising (annual funds, events, campaigns, planned giving).
  • Strong financial management and reporting experience (audit or IRS 990 familiarity preferred).
  • Excellent storytelling, communication, and public speaking skills.
  • Proven ability to inspire others and work collaboratively with staff and volunteers.
  • Flexible schedule with availability for some evenings and weekends.
  • Valid Tennessee driver’s license and ability to pass background checks.

Why You’ll Love Working Here
  • Meaningful mission: Every day, your work helps change the lives of boys who need hope and stability.
  • Supportive team: We’re a small, dedicated group that believes in collaboration and heart-centered leadership.
  • Creative freedom: Bring your ideas to life through events, partnerships, and donor experiences.
  • Paid time off and opportunities for professional growth.

About the Role
This is a full-time, exempt position based in Franklin, TN, reporting to the Executive Director. It’s perfect for someone who thrives in both planning and doing — leading strategy while staying hands-on in community engagement.
