About the Speaker
Meet Danielle McGee Gibson, an accomplished small business advocate, entrepreneur and professor at Tennessee State University. Danielle is renowned for her outstanding contributions to the industry and for founding Black Business Boom, a social enterprise designed to help small Black-owned businesses thrive through training and mentorship.
 
Danielle is passionate about supporting the growth of Black-owned small businesses and has made significant strides in this area. With an MBA from Saint Xavier University and a Bachelor's degree in Marketing and Management, coupled with over 15 years of experience, she has built a successful professional and entrepreneurial career.
 
In recognition of her remarkable achievements, Danielle has received several awards, including the Dealmakers of the Year Award in 2024, Power Moves Award in Entrepreneurship, National Coalition of Black Women Susan Shorter Emerging Leaders Award, Traffic, Sales and Profit Circle of Seven Award, and social media influencer awards from Women Who Rock Nashville and Southern Entertainment Awards.
 
Through her visionary leadership, the Black Business Boom brand has expanded to include Boomin University, which offers group coaching and classes for business owners, and Black Owned Nashville, a directory of over 1400 Nashville-based Black-owned businesses.
 
Danielle is a certified digital marketer, an entrepreneur for 10 years, and a former healthcare executive. She has conducted numerous workshops, conferences, and coaching sessions to teach other entrepreneurs how to build sustainable businesses.
 
What sets Danielle apart is her ability to use effective and efficient communication skills, attention to detail, time management, and organization, always bringing her best self to the task with a positive attitude, which has contributed greatly to her success.
 
Outside of work, Danielle enjoys spending time with her husband, friends, family, and pets. She is an avid traveler and has visited over 20 countries. Danielle is a native Chicagoan residing in Nashville since 2016.
